'66 GTO Convertible
the car that I want to restore turned out to be a much bigger chore
than I expected. I was surfing the internet, keeping an eye on the
local papers, and having friends keep their eyes wide open. I was
having trouble deciding what I wanted to start out with. I would really
like to locate something at a reasonable price that needed a lot of
work. Unfortunately, that takes a whole bunch of time and I really
have loads of other things going on that also take a bunch of time.
I decided that I'd try to locate something that was presentable and
running well, so that I could use it right away and then go through
it a little at a time, as time and money allowed. Didn't want a car
that was completely done, that kinda takes the fun out of it. I'm
a die hard Do-It-Yourself'er so my thing is really fixing it up, not
just driving around in someone else's hard work. So after changing
my mind several times as to what I was looking for and how much I
was willing to spend to get started , I spotted a likely candidate
in the local newspaper.
