It's a '72 LeMans and I've owned it since 1980, it was my first car. Until about 2-3 weeks ago, the car hadn't been licensed and on the road since about '95 or '96. Mechanically the car had fallen into a state of disrepair and wasn't reliable (would overheat, wouldn't start). I had always hoped to do some major upgrades on the car (but never had the time or money to do it) and about a year ago, the process finally started. With the help of a good friend, we pulled the drivetrain and suspension and started cleaning and painting under the hood and car. The suspension was upgraded and replaced as needed. The old 455 was replaced by a 468in stroker from SD Performance and the old TH350 was replaced by a Tremec TKO II 5spd. Of course, there were many smaller things done along the way, too. This is by no means a show car, but it looks soooo much better than it did when we started.

The current bodywork is now about 20 years old and is nice, but nowhere near great. Most of the brightwork/chrome on the car is pretty good, but I need a new chrome front valance. I've been trying to watch the PY forum and eBay to find a good piece, but haven't had luck so far. I had a nice one nabbed from me at literally the last minute on eBay about a week ago. :-( Last time I checked, PY didn't sell anything like this.

Many thanks for the help PY provided as I was going through my upgrade project this past summer. I bought many of my parts from you guys including most of the parts I needed to complete my automatic to manual transmission conversion.

I'm thinking about tackling the interior over the winter.
