  • Why do I keep getting "Web Access Denied" or "Session No Longer Valid" Messages?

    Our Online Ordering System requires your computer to accept cookies.
    To correct these problems, you must activate your cookies. In Internet Explorer, do the following:

    1) Click on "Tools" at the top of the browser.

    2) Click on "Internet Options".

    3) Click the "Privacy" tab.

    4) Click on "Advanced" button.

    5) Check the Checkbox labeled "Override automatic cookie handling".

    6) Check the Checkbox labeled "Always allow session cookies".

    7) Click "OK" button.

    8) Click "OK" button.

 

  • How do I order from PY?

    There are several ways you can order parts from Performance Years.
    The 5 most common are:

    Online:
    You can order our entire line of Pontiac parts and American automotive locks from our our online store. Click here for our Online Store. If you are already a registered user please login with your user name and password under registered users. If you are visiting us for the first time you can become a registered user for FREE or you can browse our online store and even place orders as an unregistered user.

    Phone:
    You can order our entire line of Pontiac parts and American automotive locks over the phone. To place your order, call 1-800-542-PART(7278) or call 215-712-7400 for technical help. When you call to place an order with us, please have your catalog or a detailed list of everything you want to order in front of you.

    Fax:
    Faxing us an order can be a quick and easy way to place your order. In the back of any of our catalogs is an order form designed specifically to be faxed or mailed. Simply fill out all of the appropriate fields and fax it directly to us. Our Fax number is: (215) 712-9968

    E-mail:
    E-mailing your order can be convenient way to place your order. Please try to provide as many part numbers, descriptions and costs as possible. All orders should be e-mailed to: sales@performanceyears.com

  • Is the "Rare Stuff" section of NOS Parts current?

    No, it is not.
    Because of the huge number of parts, we can not keeping track of every part. Please call or e-mail us to verify availability.

 

  • Can I track my PY orders?

    Yes, of course you can.
    You must first login under your registered user name and password. Then go to the "invoices" link at the bottom of any page. From here you can select the invoice you are interested in, by clicking the invoice number. While viewing the order, click "details". In the details screen you will see the tracking number in the right hand column. Click the tracking number to go to the package tracking web site.

 

  • Can I view old invoices from my past orders?

    Yes, of course you can.
    When you are logged into PY Online Ordering, click "invoices" at the bottom of any page. From here you can search for your past invoices.

 

  • Can I avoid shipping charges by picking up my order at your office or a show or event PY attends?

    Yes, of course you can.
    Although, we do require you place your order ahead of time to assure your order is ready. Any order you wish to pick up at a show or event should be placed about a week ahead of time.

  • How do I get to PY?

    Please call ahead any time you plan on visiting our office. Don't just show up!

    From PA Turnpike:
    Get off the PA Turnpike (NE Extension) at Exit 31 - Lansdale
    Out of the booth, go straight to the light (RT 63) and turn RIGHT
    Go to 2nd light (Wambold Road) and Turn RIGHT
    Follow Wambold until it ends (Allentown Road) and turn RIGHT
    Go to 1st light (Derstine Road) and turn LEFT
    Follow Derstine until it ends (Cowpath Road) and turn RIGHT
    Go to 1st light (Bergey Road) and turn LEFT
    Follow through 1 light and cross RR tracks
    Turn into the 1st industrial park on the LEFT (Campus Drive)
    Use the 3rd driveway on the LEFT - We are about 1/2 way down.

  • I submitted my Pontiac for PY Customer Rides. Why isn't it listed yet?

    Because each PY Customer Rides page is created by hand, we don't have the time to add new Rides every day. We have been trying find time to post new Customer Rides at least once every week.
    We also ask for some text description to accompany the pictures of each Customer Ride. If you have submitted pictures but no text you will recieve an e-mail from us, requesting accompanying text.
    We also ask you to include in your description some way PY has helped with your Pontiac's restoration or upkeep. If you have not included this in your description, you will recieve an e-mail from us requesting a resubmittion with the above information.

 

  • Why does the PY web cam always show the same thing?

    Due to some of the limitations of the current web cam technology, the views available are limited. For this reason we have tried to choose views that will show the most excitement from the few we have to choose from. We have received several requests to point our web cam at our shopping department so everyone can watch their orders being packaged and labeled. This is an excellent idea but unfortunitly our camara's cord will not reach far enough to see into the the shipping department (even after adding the longest cord extension we could find). This is why we have chosen the view of the shipping pallet. This pallet is added to ever couple minutes during buisness hour and thus provides the most action.
    We are continually looking for ways you broadcast Live Pontiac Events from our web cam. But due to the web cam's dependance on a constant internet connection, Live Broadcasting opportunities are limited.

 

  • Why can't I log onto PY Online Ordering?

    A common misconception many people have is that they can use their PY Forums username and password to log onto our Online Ordering. Unfortunately these are two different registrations and you can not use a username and password for one to log onto the other.
    Another common reason people have problems logging onto our Online Ordering is because the username and password are both case sensitive. All the letters in your username are capital but you password can be a mix or capital and lower case letters as well as numbers and other characters. If you are loging in for the first time you can find your username and password in the registration e-mail we sent you. Please check that to make sure you are entering them correctly.
    You may also want to check the caps lock button on your keyboard. If it is on then you are typing in all capitals and that is not always what you want.
    A forgotten password is also a common problem. If you have forgotten your password or simply e-mail us and we can e-mail your current username and password.

 

  • Why can't I log onto PY Forums?

    A common misconception many people have is that they can use their Online Ordering username and password to log onto our PY Forums. Unfortunately these are two different registration and you can not use a username and password for one to log onto the other.
    Another of the most common reasons people have problems logging into our Forums is because the username and password are both case sensitive. If you are logging in for the first time you can find your username and password in the registration e-mail we sent you. Please check that e-mail to make sure you are entering them correctly.
    You may also want to check the caps lock button on your keyboard. If it is on then you are typing in all capitals and that is not always what you want.
    A forgotten password is also a common problem. If you are a registered member and you forgot your password, you just click on "profile" and then "forgot my password" and a new one will be immediately sent to you. If not, then the password is going to the e-mail address you registered with. You should then go back to "profile" and change it to something you will remember.

 

  • How can I get a catalog?

    There are several ways to get any one of our catalogs.
    The simpliest way is to pick one up FREE by visiting our office in Hatfield, PA or our show spaces at any of the events we attend.
    You can also download our catalogs FREE online in .pdf format. Simply click here and choose the catalog you wish to download.
    You can also request one of our catalogs be mailed to you (within the US) for FREE. You can click here and choose the catalog you would like to have mailed to you or call us directly to request a catalog. (Please note - These catalogs are sent via US bulk mail and we send a bulk mailing every 2 or 3 weeks. This means your requested catalog may take 1 to 4 weeks to reach you.)
    You can also request to have one of our catalogs mailed to you immediatly US First Class for a small shipping fee. Please request this service by e-mail or by phone.

 

  • What is PYCL?

    PYCL stands for Performance Years Classic Locks. This is the department of our company that handles our entire line of locks. We are a major distributor of auto locks and keys for American cars and trucks of the 50's thru the 80's. Our entire line of keys, locks and lock sets are available at our Online Store.

 

  • Where can I get technical help?

    There is one surefire way to get help on nearly any Pontiac related issue. That is by using using the combined knowledge of the thousands of Pontiac Enthusiasts that traffic our PY Forums. You can browse or search the Forums for a specific topic because most likely someone else has already asked the same question. Or if you register you can post your own question with all of your unique issues.

  • Why does my online order confirmation say that my "order has been placed on hold, no credit card authorization"?

    Unfortunately that message appears on every online order because we don't allow the ordering program to charge your credit card right away. This message does not mean your credit card did not clear. Your credit card will be charged appropriately when your order is ready to ship. If there is an issue with your order or credit card, you will be called or e-mailed accordingly.

 

  • How can I change my PY Online Ordering profile information?

    You can change your name, address, e-mail, prefered shipping method and more from any Online Ordering page. Be sure you are logged in and click "Customer" at the bottom of the page. Now change any information that you want to change and click "submit".

 

  • How can I change my PY Forums profile information?

    You can change your e-mail, password, name/address info and more from the main forums page. Be sure you are logged in and click "my profile" then "View/Update Profile".
